Educators' Strategies in Building Character Through Education

Character education programs in most schools are still formal, have not been deeply integrated into students' daily lives, and are limited to teaching materials. This article aims to find out and describe building character through education. The method used in this research uses the library method, or what is usually called literature review which is based on books, research results, journals and articles related to education and learning evaluation. Search in database will be carried out starting from December 2024. It aims to provide readers with insight regarding meaning of character, namely a person's inherent qualities in meresponse various situations with moral attitudes reflected through real actions. The definition of education is the process of forming fundamental basic abilities, both regarding thinking power, intellectual power and emotional power. Character formation is closely related to character education. There are several strategies for building character through education, including providing students with an understanding of character education, establishing good relationships with students, and cultivating good character by monitoring the surrounding environment. Hopefully this article can be used to increase the insight of readers, educators and prospective educators.
