Abstract

This research aims to equip teachers with skills in technology-based teaching methods to foster critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving skills in students. The study adopts a literature review method to provide a comprehensive overview of the application of technology-based teaching methods in elementary and Islamic elementary schools (SD/MI), enabling relevant recommendations for educational development. The findings indicate that implementing technology-based teaching methods enhances students' ability to understand scientific concepts, think critically, and apply these concepts in everyday life. Critical thinking, as a higher-order thinking skill, helps students comprehend problems and identify appropriate solutions. Moreover, the use of technology creates a conducive learning environment by simplifying and accelerating student tasks while improving their ability to utilize technological advancements. Digital technology facilitates easier and faster access to deliver scientific information or materials, which significantly supports the development of scientific literacy in SD/MI. With the aid of media, students can more easily grasp concepts, thus enhancing their overall learning experience.
